What a despicable men. This was written in a rather interesting manner, and rather quick. Enjoyed reading this.

As expected, this was not a lighthearted read. I’m glad I finally picked up one of Suetonius’ infamous accounts of the Caesars, it didn’t disappoint. A short and sweet (ugly?) recounting of “Little Boot,” it’s devastating to read this knowing it’s not fiction.
A story of an empire going dark, Suetonius sums up Caligula’s life in under 60 pages. His rise to power, the good, the bad, and the monstrous, welcome to the lethal game of Roman politics. While a mediocre writer, it’s still engrossing to read some of the closest primary source materials we have on Rome.

Too little a tome to justify the full 5 stars in all probability but truly had me riveted.
