The concept was cute and sweet.
The sprinkle of spice was nice and a nice amount. The I really enjoyed the rivalry shown as well.

I thought there was going to be a bit more drama with her family or something. The cousin and sister were kinda introduced and made to seem really horrible and taking her mans but nothing really came from it in the end. There was no drama no angst at all. Just a feel good wholesome book

Alright! I read this book because of the hype on tik tok and Instagram, and the results are in! It is worth the read but not a faint, and cry over it book!
I love the hate to love in this book but I feel like their relationship was always just a “I’m going to pretend to hate you but we all know I never really do and then one night we will kiss and be madly in love” which is exactly what happened. I know that’s what I picked up to read but there was no deep emotion or drive in the story that got me attached to the characters.

What I liked!
The characters- both leads are awesome in many ways, but the star of the book is for sure gramps!
The plot- it was a really well put together plot and it was fully developed! I just came off of reading ACOSF which was severely lacking plot so I really liked this one!
Maturity- there was drama, but it was handled really well and not the classic “let’s break up because of a big misunderstanding”

What I did not like!
The progression with the romance. It was not enough build up for me, and then suddenly it’s just there!

Overall I recommend this book just have lower expectations going in! Even though it was written really well it’s not anything mind blowing!

This was book #35 for Romanceopoly 2020.

Pack: Moon
Square: Farmers Market
Challenge: Read a romance where the hero or heroine is a chef or works in the food industry, owns a bakery/restaurant/food or drink establishment

Another delightful and heartwarming story from one of my favorite authors

Cute, cheesy and very predictable rom-com.

This was a cute, fluffy rom com. Nothing earth shattering, but still a fun distraction. I have a strong craving for fancy cupcakes now. I hated the tweets at the end of the chapters. They didn’t add to the story and were mostly lame.

I received a copy of this book from a Goodreads giveaway, and provided an honest review.

cute i love rivals to friends to lovers too so they were perfect. but i wish we got more. a lot of the time passed and the reader wasn’t really informed on what they did besides a vague description. it could’ve been longer i think it would’ve made it better! the near ending was flat too expected more
