It was a cute story- the only notable flaw is that Libby was fat- as in that was the about the only thing that she ever talked about. Jack was a much deeper character, a lot more complex and conflicted, but Libby was a little more shallow.
It's not often I finish a book in a day, ESPECIALLY when I had to work today, but this book is truly that good.
I have been dying to read more by Jennifer Niven since I first picked up "All The Bright Places" when it was first out as an ARC.
I found myself enjoying this one every bit as much because it hit home. I know what it's like to be the bullied kid, the "fat friend" and so many more things that Libby Strout has to endure are things that I either experienced or watched friends experience. I was able to not only see myself, but my friends, in this book.
Without spoiling it, this book was such a positive read because nobody gives up. Real life happens, sure, but in the end it's exactly what my heart hoped for. I cheered for Libby, felt truly bad for Jack, and now want a little brother like Dusty (because, only child here, and he sounds like my kind of take no crap kid)!
Jennifer Niven has done wonderful once again with this one.

It wasn't bad, but I felt like all the plot lines were obvious and I knew just how it would end even two thirds through. The tiny side-plots didn't really relate and and were mostly wrapped up in the middle.

I am so much disappointed with this book. It is really boring, I thought that it would be interesting how these two people got together despite the hurdles that they face but there's absolutely no reason for them to be together at all. Everyone has problems in their lives but the author didn't understand that people look for common things in other people which makes them feel relatable. but to be honest, I found absolutely nothing common between Libby Strout and Jack Masselin apart from the fact that they have some major problems in their lives which they could not link with each other. It is as if the author the book just wanted them to be together somehow.
I would not recommend this book to anyone.
