*warning* this is a biased review as this is written under my pen name. This is the second to last story and we have left the city and followed Megan to Edge where she finds a blind soldier in the Wildlands. She is the darling of the town as her parents were the shield makers but she has found that it is very lonely being at the top like that.
Toa is a soldier who has sold his skills all his life to rescue his family. He sticks by Megan because the first time in his life he is going to be a little selfish.
I wanted to highlight especially at the moment the silliness of fearing refugees and how large countries use other smaller countries for their own gain without giving them anything in return. In particular the US territories who often fight for the US but they aren't even allowed to vote.
