This series is too adorable for words! I loved book 1 and now seemed like the perfect time of year to read book 2. The artwork, representation & intro into Hanukkah were all 🧑🍳 💋 This is a fantastic lower MG series and I need book 3 now! Fans of the Ryan Hart and Bat series will love this one too!

In this second book about Rachel Friedman, she is very upset that a classmate told her he is sorry she doesn't celebrate Christmas. This bothers Rachel so much that she sets out to have the best Hanukkah ever! Unfortunately, nothing seems to be going in her favor. Her best friend gets sick, her dad forgets to buy potatoes for the latkes, and her brother has decided that he's too old for Hanukkah fun. This is a great new illustrated chapter book series for beginning readers. Highly recommended for grades 1 & up.
