This book was a much quicker and easier read for me.
It picks up right where book 1 left off and the chaos never stops.

The group finally return to Stormbreak, and if you thought there was chaos in the previous book, just wait. Drace and Cael, naive Cael, are the slow-burniest pair ever, but I'm here for it; theye so wholesome.
There's betrayal toward the first half and I rage read through it because I was so mad; it does have a satisfying conclusion in the end and they get what's coming.

There's no cliffhanger in book two but with what's coming there might as well be.
Our next stop is to Zastrad to talk to the Dead God Nyx.

it was super hard to even get into this book. i found myself getting bored. there wasn’t much that was interesting about this book and it was hard to follow along

I DNF’ed at around 23%

This book was not working for the me.

I wish it would because I like epic quests where a plucky bunch of heroes have to save the world from cat like women talking in the enemy leader’s ear.

Oh wait. I play those games on the PlayStation.

This book started out intriguing however the blend between fantasy and contemporary didn’t work for me.
I was completely taken out of the story when the author mentioned Caelan had been uploaded to the internet and his video was going viral.

I wanted to like this book so damn much. But I’m not a fanfic person in general and this book feels like an ode to Final Fantasy XV
