poetry about anger and femininity and queerness and love always hits different. trista mateer’s poetry ripped me open and stitched me back together again. a quick and beautiful read perfect for fans of amanda lovelace.

I just came here to have a good time but I feel called out. This book was somehow written at me but also about me but also in my point of view but also by someone who has no idea who I am. That's how much I related to this book. Now this. This is one of the best poetry books I've read in a while. 10000% deserves the 5 stars I'm giving it.

I enjoyed this collection a lot - not quite as much as I liked Honeybee (the themes in this one weren’t quite as relatable to me, just since I haven’t experienced some of them personally) but still had an enjoyable read. I really liked the art mixed into the poetry.

I’m considering buying my own copy of this (I had gotten from the library), which as someone who only chooses to buy my most favorite books, is high praise!

I tagged a few content warnings for the book below, but the first page of the book also contains a full list of them!
