If you're a fan of Monte Cristo, don't bother reading this. If you want a fun YA story of revenge with a weak romance, then read this. I loved the culture and worldbuilding but I would never compare this with Monte Cristo. Not even inspired by it. I think hype about it being a woman Cristo seeling revenge is wildly overrated.

I devoured For She Is Wrath in under 5 days — I genuinely could not put it down. The characters had me hooked, the pacing was sharp, and the whole thing just flowed beautifully.
Dania’s story is fierce, empowering, and full of heart. Honestly? I’d love to live in this world a little longer — give me a sequel, a spin-off, anything. (Give me more please @emilyvargabooks)

An incredible read that hits hard in all the right ways.

Emily Varga has given us an inhale-able story with everything you could want—romance, intrigue, action, & adventure. ✨️

Warning ⚠️: Due to the fast-paced, edge-of-your-seat nature of this book, you may finish in one sitting. 💛

I really was liking the magic system or what I learned - the djinns, the herbs used. But unfortunately, I just couldn’t get into the writing style. It’s very straightforward and explanatory. I highlighted a line that was very close to ‘I felt a sick sort of feeling’ and it just wasn’t the writing style I’m into. Will be looking for more Pakistani or South Asian fantasy stories though, would love to read more!

I loved this debut. It was very apparently inspired by The Count of Monte Cristo, which is one of my favorite movies of all time (I still have yet to read the book).

I do wish the world was better developed and the magic was explained better, but overall I greatly enjoyed this.
