I think more flashback or a better established past between Maz and Dania would have added to the story. I would have also liked more interactions with Noor towards the end of the story. Otherwise, quite a fun read!

I loved how fast this book was and I ate it up at the beginning. But then I came to the end and she forgot her revenge for a poor excuse of why she was betrayed.
I would have been happier if se actually killed Maz, but no she forgave him and then fucked him right after. I’m sorry but he put you in prison because his revenge was bigger than the love for you. How can you love someone so selfish. But I guess she is just as selfish and annoying and they fit perfect together. The only characters I actually liked were Noor and the cat. Noor was the most real person in this book everyone else was really flat, annoying and forgave each other to fast.

really great attempt at retelling of Monte Cristo, fun characters but I felt the romance and relationship wasn’t too fleshed out, I loved the setting but I felt there were some misses and story could have been better fleshed out, nice stand alone though

i’d been itching to get my hands on this since it first came out and it did not disappoint. the world building was fantastic and the story was engaging and inspiring.
