Honestly, just read "The Count of Monte Cristo". It's much better, deeper, darker... It's just more.

Revenge is the name of the game. I was told it was a Pakistan, Monte Cristo retelling and it was exactly that. It was a good book, but exactly what I expected. I think I didn’t enjoy it nearly as much because I didn’t fully understand the cultures norms and the intensity of the repercussions within that culture. I loved learning about all the different foods and clothing and magic within the Pakistan culture. I also think this would’ve been better as a longer book with more emotional details and events building up to the end instead of getting flashback throughout the book.
