A YA fantasy that makes folk think about the price of vengeance. It’s interesting to see how many are not only willing to sacrifice themselves but also others in order to gain what they believe is rightfully theirs. 

This one was harder for me to get through. Many times I just wanted to shake the FMC. But then again it’s YA and her actions make sense for her age.

I really enjoyed this author's writing style. This was my first young adult read this year, and I thought it was pretty good! I liked the FMC a lot, and thought that her friendship with Noor really made the book enjoyable. I feel like we sometimes forget how quick and easy it can be to make true friends when we need it most in this world, I really feel like their relationship encapsulated that.
