This book was good and I’m happy with how it ended but it could’ve been a lot shorter. Most of the middle part and all the details about the rescue bored me, I just finished it to know who survived. Falling is still by far my favorite from this author

The basic premise was engaging. The flight crew’s professionalism and actions were well crafted but I wanted far more backstory on each of them. I thought the author’s distribution of time across all aspects of the story was off, giving too much time to technical specifics and not enough time to character development. I struggled to visualize the concepts around the rescue actions.
In a story the had too little characterization, it also felt lazy to use the same heavy trauma trope for two characters. Would the mom trying to rescue her family have cared any less without the additional trauma in the backstory?
Overall, this book kept me reading, but I was frustrated throughout.

Holy crap! This book got me in some serious feels the last 10 chapters.
The ending gutted me. I did not expect this book to be what it was and omg I’m so glad it turned out that way.
Five freakin ⭐️s.
HIGHLY recommend!

Book : Drowning
Author : T.J. Newman
Thank you NetGalley, Avid Reader Press & the author for the opportunity to read and review this book.
I absolutely LOVED Falling by this author so when I saw I was approved for Drowning I squealed with joy! This book was so full of intense moments I literally lived on the edge of my seat the entire read. I read this entire book in one go. I just couldn’t set it down even if I wanted to — I HAD to know what was going to happen next
