CAMERON STANTON IS SOOOOOOOO TOXIC BUT ITS THE WAY I A T E IT UP????
Listen. I didn’t expect to love this book as much as I did. There were like… 3 plots that felt random but it fit Ashley and Cameron so well. Messy, chaotic, TOXIC!! I loved it so much.
I laughed and swooned over Dr. Stanton, and yet wanted to bash his whole face in when he was making the shittiest decisions. Yeah, okay, he was doing what he thought was right in the moment but our mans needs help with communication.
Either way, I DEVOURED this book.

An amazing read! I fell in love with Cameron Stanton. His and Ashley’s story will keep you interested from start to finish. A dreamy surgeon and an intern, with a past and a secret I totally wasn’t expecting. I love how TL Swan always lets you into her characters and what makes them become the way they portray themselves. One of my favorites of hers!
A potential spoiler is contained in this review.
Firstly, I devoured this book in less than 6 hours. So maybe I didn't digest this book as deeply as I needed to. The first half of the book was so good, 4 star read definitely. In typical TL Swan fashion, there was light humor mixed with relatable characters that made for a great build up. But then time just kept passing without the MMC knowing about her son. Time continued to pass and kept on going. Then once she told him about their kid, the fmc got very bratty, annoying, and entitled. She was telling him he needs to tighten up (in other words of course) and that he needs to step up and be a father. This girl was a single mother for almost 5 years and up until they reconnected had zero intentions of ever knowing her son's real dad. At times, it felt like she was prioritizing their relationship over her kid /:
Cameron ended up annoying too. He became demanding and their communication went completely down the drain.
Just as easy as I fell in love with the two of them, they annoyed me. Overall, the book was good and not a complete waste of time but this book is going to be pushed to the back of my mind to be left and forgotten after today lol.

I could not read this fast enough. This was the perfect amount of toxic and sweet to keep turning pages like it was an Olympic race. Though I am not a fan of pregnancy trope I do enjoy a good secret child trope and this book came through for me.
**I base reviews on how I feel. It would be hypocritical of m as someone who struggles with the difference between effect/affect to talk about someone's writing.

DNF: Started so strong and had so much potential but literally went downhill so fast. So much doesn’t make sense with the plot it’s wild.
I’ve fallen in love with a man who doesn’t even know about the biggest part of me.
I absolutely loved the meet-cute between Cameron and Ashley ... pure perfection!! As for the rest of the story, look it has one of my least favourite tropes and so I enjoyed this but it's not one of my fave TL Swan books. Ashley's secret was always going to come out in the worse way and it does... thankfully this is a HEA guaranteed romance so I was able to keep reading knowing it would sort itself out.

T.L. Swan's knack for writing men I will never forget persists! Dr
Stanton was another top read, and after three winners in row i am convinced i will have to read them all. Like The Stopover, Dr. Stanton starts off hot and heavy - a set of visuals that had me openly panting. I was impressed from the get-go. The only reason that this book gets a 4 instead of the 5s across the board was the drama. (Caution: spoiler ahead) I feel like Swan did Ashley a little dirty here. Some of the "mistakes" she made were so trivial, it made me roll my eyes. She raised a child alone while going to medical school, and we are supposed to believe now she falls apart and becomes irresponsible? Just didn't seem like she did her justice. Otherwise, Dr. Stanton was completely naughty, perfectly lovely and a joy as always.

OMG
I know I alway say that I loved this or that book but I truly did love this book.
Ashley and Cameron-aka random guy. we don’t know his name until they meet 5 years later- met in a bar. A man was groping Ash and she randomly chose Cam and told that man that he was her husband. They then made a bet. They slept together IN THE FIRST CHAPTER. SO.HOT. THEY EVEN HAD BILINGUAL SEX IN FRENCH AND GERMAN. After they agreed that they would meet up in New York again But mister Cameron lost his phone with her number in it.
