I'm in love!
I'm reading Swan's books out of order but I can't help it! I get sucked in so fast I can't put it down 'til I'm done! "Marx Girl" was amazing & "Dr. Stanton" was even better!!
*Excellent writing & editing - ✔
*Swoon worthy romance - ✔
*Powerful drama & suspense - ✔
*Delightful humor & charm - ✔
*Titillating & breathtaking erotica - ✔✔

“How can you be with so many women and feel nothing, only to then meet one woman who makes you feel everything?” I ask.
The book starts off cute as a one-night stand in Vegas, with intense of sexual chemistry. I wasn't a huge fan of the random 5-year time jump and a random pregnancy. Overall, the book was cute but there was definitely some questionable parts.

I'm just sad cuz this could have easily been a 5 star read if the mmc had a better character development. I feel like he never truly realized the intensity of his actions and mistakes and never really apologized for it. He just gave excuses and more excuses instead of trusting her and believing her story.SHE LITERALLY GOT DRUGGED AND HE DIDNT TRUST HER WTF!?! anyways that part disappointed me fr but I am choosing to delete that from my memory for the sake of my happiness and give it 4 stars. Im low key being generous here lol.

I honestly don't know where to start... Maybe with —OMG DR STANTON
I don't think I've ever hated a character as much as I hate Cameron, im at about 80% and I just can't stand him. If someone ever spoke to me the way he speaks to Ashley, we would be done forever
Update,, yep, I cant stand Cameron. He has no right not to trust her and she's a damn idiot for letting him treat her that way.

At about 70% i was so frustrated with this book that i was prepared to write a 10,000 rant about everything i hate about it, but now i’ve finished i just can’t be bothered.
This book had so much potential, the first chapter was amazing and i was so ready for an amazing book. After i read the Miles high club series i was so excited to start another T.L Swan book but i wish i could go back in time.
I hate Cameron.
He is so emotionally manipulative and just all around privileged, shitty and selfish. If i was Ashly i would’ve stole Owen and hid but then again the ignorant ass already tried (and succeeded) to steal custody she couldn’t even do that. I wanted to like him i really did but he is awful.
When he accused her of overdosing when she god spiked? i’ve not been angrier at a book in a long time.
He was so controlling and entitled it was sickening.
I was just glad when it was over. There was nothing wrong with the writing, i love Swans writing, but this book was just not it.
And i cant even bring myself to like Ashly because of the first 60% where she was lying for no reason. She should’ve told him after new york for sure, but tbh she’s a goddess compared to Cameron.
The only reason it isn’t 1 star is because the first few chapters & because of a couple side characters.
