It’s literally a woman or maybe some sea monster killing her lover. It was not scary. Maybe spooky? But that’s about it. I am glad I went in blind because the synopsis gives away the story but this is a 1.5.

5/5 estrellas.

Cortisimo. Y lo amé. Ojalá hubiera sido más largo.
Le tengo tanto terror al mar y sus profundidades, y a la vez me fascino tanto con estas criaturas...

*listening to a bunch of free short horror audiobooks from the “Come Join Us By The Fire” anthology while on the road. Pleasantly surprised by the production of these with excellent narrators and background noises

I can't decide if this is the tale of a dark mermaid, or something older and infinitesimally more disturbing. Either way, I really enjoyed this super quick read that is Cold, Silent, and Dark. It is a little predictable, but still an enjoyable read that is very well written.

Nicely written, but lacking anything particularly compelling. Is she a siren, or is she just a woman drowning on the inside? I dunno.

Short, fragementary and extremely predictable. This was definitely not worth including in a large anthology like this but most of the stories are pretty mediocre. The description says it all - and I have nothing to add.
