This is actually pretty good i had this craving to read Oliver twist and now they made it much worse
Its still the first issue i hope it gets better next three issues
The writing style is good the art is pretty cool
Olivia twist is a beauty dodger is cool
not sure about the esthers we didn't see much of them but i am hopeful none the less
to modernize a perfect tale like Oliver twist is a sick idea i love it
that being said now i will pick a fight with Strauss
Superman Captain america Batman are all boring characters in that order batman being the least boring among them
nobody is straight like these guys humans are not black and white
I understand where they get their fans from Superman being an over powerful freak
Captain America well its obvious Americans and their sense of patriotism no offense intended its beautiful but i don't feel i owe anyone or anyplace anything fuck the world really for all i care
Batman being human with no super powers to speak off whatsoever
But superheroes aside if we are talking about comics and the worlds they are in and the villains and the story lines i would say Batman is the greatest ever he has this crazy arsenal of villains and they are the best in the business where ever you look characters building and where they are at and their origin stories and the interactions between the villains its just soooo heavenly good
Putting this fight aside again i am happy i read Olivia twist and i will try to read Oliver twist as soon as humanly possible

I really wanted to like this more. The first few pages seem to hold such promise, but then… as it went on, it felt more and more like a simple Dickens retelling, with a couple of changes around the edges to make things more interesting. Of course, this is issue #1, so we're all about setting things up, so I am hoping that future issues will diverge more from Dickens canon.

If I hadn't already ordered the next two issues, I would probably not bother to read them, but since I have, I'll go ahead and order #4 to complete the series. And I'll read them. But I wish I had the talent to write a series that matches my expectations for what Olivia Twist could be

Interesting GenderBent idea. Like the use of a future setting.
