I swear I'm not crying! Sometimes you search for a way to access a book for so long and then suddenly it seems like it just falls into your lap. Almost as if it was waiting for just the right moment to be read. There are powerful messages in this book that I believe everyone needs at some point in their life. It just might be one of your favourite authors telling you "I believe in you and I won't let you fall."
.... I needed this. It came to me when I needed it. I swear I'm not crying.....

I love this book! Owen uses examples from his own life to not only let the reader know he believes in them, but to let them know they are not alone.

Short and direct. A reminder of the power of choice and determination. As humans we too often forget this lesson.

Yes, choices are important. Your choices build the foundations for your future. However, privilege, opportunities, and random chance play a part, too. Harping on choice as the sole determinate of destiny flies in the face of reality. I'm sure every Olympic athlete is making choices to win the gold, but only one will. Books like this imply the other medalists didn't want it enough - which just isn't true.
