Stryker wanted revenge against Acheron & Nick for the death of his son so he releases Aries, the god of war and bargains for Aries to kill Ach & Nick.
To thwart Stryker, Artemis enlists the Zephyra, Stryker's ex-wife to stop Stryker's plan. So now the ex lovers are on a collision course to fight it out, along with their personal issues.

This series is iffy for me but this book was one of the good ones. I didn't enjoy Acheron as much as others, but this one was enjoyable. We get to see how Artemis and Apollo have manipulated the hunters over hundreds of years. What I enjoyed most is the complexity of Stryker as a character. I wouldn't call him a super good hero, but he isn't a bad guy either. He is what the gods made him and I found that I like him as a protagnoist.
The couple had great chemisty and I am glad that the love was restored for Stryker and Phyra. I think I will get back to this series now.

One of the shorter DH novels but still so much information and its always fun to get a peek at what is going on through a non DH perspective

Didn't like this one as much because I never liked the main characters. They learn forgiveness for each other but never for anything else. The background story of the war is very intense and it is the only reason I gave the book 3 stars.

I only finished this book for the secondary characters in it. I actually, in a first time ever for me, skipped all the parts with Stryker and his honey. Cause I really just didn't care.

I finished it on the first day I read it and forgot to come share lol, so here it is. Like all the other books in the series this one was great, and to actually write a book about the "bad" guy in the story was amazing. I loved the book, though coming after Acheron's book, its a bit of a flat. Still it was a good read, I know, I know I'm not making sense.

Stryker has nothing left in his life that has any meaning to him. Gathering a force that can finally end Acheron's and Nick's life, Stryker prepares for them to meet their maker even if it will kill himself in the process.

An unexpected ally comes to side though that could change the course, his ex Zephyra, who he thought was dead and a daughter he knew nothing about. Zephyra has had a long time to plan her revenge on the one man who broke her heart, Stryker.

I was really looking forward to Stryker's story and found that I was disappointed in One Silent Night. I can't pinpoint to one specific thing but it did not have the feel of a Sherrilyn Kenyon book to me. One of the things I love about her books is good or bad the characters always have string of vulnerability, although I saw it in Stryker, Zephyra was a little cold to me. On the flip side it is full of favorite characters and a few new ones I hope she writes about.
