I received this as part of a giveaway in exchange for an honest review. I learned a lot about Emily Warren Roebling from this novel, but I found myself wishing it was a biography and not fictionalized. The tone/ her thoughts were a bit irritating at times, very navel gazing, but I couldn’t tell if that was true to her character or an interpretation of her thoughts by the author from what she’s read of Emily’s work. I am glad to know of her role in history, but it could likely have been 30% shorter and still covered everything adequately.
