That was a lot of fun.

I wasnt interested enough that i needed to know what happened

*4.5 something about hockey romances just do it for me every damn time

3.5/5

Just a cute, lighthearted, read. Super easygoing, and nothing really all that bad.

This was a good intro to the Carolina Comet series. We meet Wright and Harper in an interesting meeting, that leads to them later meeting again through a dating app. My favorite quirk in this story is Harper’s job and her love for horror. It made me laugh every time. I liked Wright a lot, but I felt like he had some anger issues that he needed to work out.

A cute and fun hockey romance with an unexpected meet cute!

Collin hides the fact that he’s in the NHL at first, which makes sense. He wants to be wanted for himself not for his job.
Harper feels like he lied to her, but she eventually sees the why.

They fall hard and fast, and this is a cute easy read! Enjoyed it.

I honestly really enjoyed this book!

The chemistry between Collin and Harper felt so natural and their banter was just perfect! It felt a little rushed at the ending but this book is also shorter. So for the length the pacing was perfect! I really loved the side characters and I’m excited to read their stories as well!

This was a cute, light, low angst, slow burn. It had me smiling and then snuck in some feels later in the story, but was just an overall easy read. Collin (H) is a professional hockey player who's having a rough time professionally. He's not a manwhore (yay) and he's a good guy. Harper (h) is an artist specializing in horror elements and she's more of an introvert. They meet when Harper almost runs him over at night on the side of the road. There's a missed connection and then another chance comes around. The story focuses on their relationship from their meet-cute to keeping things casual to developing deeper feelings.

There are some miscommunications and some angst at the end that I didn't love, but I did love the resolution to it as both funny and sweet. Nice chemistry (including through messaging) and a good helping of steam. Some great side characters, who I think some have books of their own, added extra humor and support for the main characters. No ow/om drama, neither were virgins, bc used. The book ends with a bit of a jump ahead epilogue a few months later but with a clear indicator that this is their HEA. This is actually my first book by this author, although I've looked at some of hers before, so I guess I need to check out her backlist!

From hitchhiking to love

I really enjoyed Collin and Harper’s fun and light hearted journey from an almost hit and run to forever. The story included witty dialogue, three dimensional characters who grow, and an engaging storyline. Collin is a professional hockey player who feels like he’s had bad luck lately. After his car breaks down in the middle of nowhere, he meets Harper who almost hits him as he’s walking down the road. And fate puts them together on three other occasions before they have their first date. But it’s just going to be casual since neither on want a relationship. The story has plenty of swoons, chuckles, simmering and overwhelming feelings, steamy scenes, painful pasts, sweet moments, supportive family and friends, and all the love. This was 3.75 stars for me. I plan to keep reading this series.
