An easy, fun read that delivers on the premise.
Hot shot hockey star Collin is in a form slump. He carries the weight (undeservedly) of his team's recent loss and is currently being dragged through the mud by the media for an assault charge he received after coming to the rescue of a lady in a bar fight. His car breaks down on a deserted country road and he is given a lift by Harper, an introverted, quirky cutie, who he soon realises, has no idea who he is.

Over their four hour journey, both MC's begin to feel comfortable and relax enough to be their true selves. They connect over shared love of horror movies and silly, cheeky banter ensues. After she drops him off with a simple 'goodbye', Collin is sorry he didn't take a risk and ask for her number. Harper is similarly affected.

The two serendipitously reconnect and start to chat via a dating app they have both been pressured into using by their respective best friends. But, HorrorHarper is unaware that HockyGuy69 is actually Collin.

I love when there is a famous person and their heroine doesn't know who they are. It causes so many opportunities for shenanigans. But also, as in this book, allows the characters to be themselves and fall in love without pressure. Of course it always gets revealed at some point, usually causing major drama. Also, the texting was fun too. The MC's best friends were great secondary characters whose book I would like to read (next in the series).

This book contains descriptive love scenes.

A nice hockey romance. Such a good palate cleanser. I loved the characters.
the storyline was fun to read especially the start with the car journey and then dating app. I really felt for Collin during the recording part, and I loved the sign girl in the last chapters. Just a feel-good book.
one thing that was a bit of a letdown was, at times, it did feel repetitive.

A riot act that brings on the laughs and brings out the feels. Colin and Harper are a match that doesn't quite fit. He's a celebrity caught up in the wave of his own self doubt. She's an eccentric artist with a love for the unconventional. Hunter charms with humor and speaks to the heart while giving the senses something to think about. Puck Shy marches to the beat of it's own drum and scores a huge hit.
