This was such a fun, cute, and sexy hockey romance. I enjoyed Collin and Harper's story. 4.5 stars.
Such a cute book! I liked the pacing and the characters. Big hockey fan and love hockey romances so I was excited to find this series. I liked how we met other hockey players on the team who I’m sure have their own books and I cant wait to get tidbits of Collin and Harper in those books too. I appreciated that Teagan Hunter didn’t drag out the drama or make it too crazy. I will definitely be reading more books in this series!

This was a cute, sweet, and warm feeling book. I liked it, I just wish it was longer by like 10 to 15 chapters. Like if it was longer, their love could have fully blossomed. And I wish we got to see more of them just being together. I did like their banter, how quickly comfortable they were in each other's presence, even though they were strangers and their shared love of horror movies. I liked that we actually got to see their messages to each other rather than the author saying they talked about everything and nothing. I liked their dates to the donut truck, to the dog shelter where he volunteers at, and to the drag show. And I loved his love confession to her during Ryan’s project, but it also hurt too iykyk. And Collin was perfect. He was sweet, kind, thoughtful, funny, forward without being too much like if a man in real life told me the things he was saying, I would malfunction. And then Harper was perfect for him. Like she is the awkward to his bold, and she felt like home to him. She was the puzzle piece he was missing. And while I think the 3rd act breakup was unnecessary, I liked that it brought on her trying to win him back through her various posters at all of his cross country games. And I loved the bonus epilogue. The man surprised her with a trip to SCOTLAND because she always wanted to go there (me too girl), and then surprised her with puppies!! And I loved that Ryan and Rhodes story begins right after this book's epilogue.
After a string of bad luck, Collin almost gets run over after his car broke down, and his almost assailant turns out to be a cute girl who loves horror, Harper. After a little sussing out, both realize the other isn't a serial killer and Harper offers Collin a ride. Even though they both felt a connection after their mini road trip, numbers weren't exchanged and no kiss goodbye. And then out of sheer luck, both Collin and Harper are on the same dating app and Collins matches with her. Will Collin reveal his true identity that he was her hitchhiker and will he tell her that he was hiding his identity all along of being a famous NHL player?
Favorite quotes/scenes:
“You’re kind of annoying.”
“I’ll take into serious consideration from now on that the girl who tried to run me over finds me annoying.”
“Are you going to hold that against me forever?”
“Oh, I’m sorry, am I supposed to forget about it already?”
“It’s been over an hour.”
“Right.” I smack my forehead. “I forgot that all traumatic events only have an hour-long window for when I’m allowed to be salty about them.”
“Wow. So you’re not just annoying, you’re also dramatic.”
“I thought I was only kind of annoying.”
“You’ve leveled up. Congratulations.”
“Okay, but if we get there and I’m not dressed appropriately, I’m going to… to… kick you in the shin.”
“Because that’s as high as you can reach on me?”
“Was that… a short joke?”
“Yeah. Did I need to lean down to say it so you could hear me better?”
“But the whole night, my focus is solely on the woman sitting across from me. And how I think maybe… maybe she was what I needed all along.”
“P.S. Did you know that you sing in your sleep? Your parents were right to pay you to not try out for American Idol.” (Collin)
“I meant to drive home, and I drove to her.”
“For Harper? I’d wait forever.”
“Why, when I was dead on my feet, when all I wanted was to go home, did I drive to you? And then it hit me. It’s because whenever I think of home now, I think of you. I think of you in bed, waiting for me to come crawling into the sheets after a game. I think of you lazing around in those ridiculous pajamas with the sexy Michael Myers on them.” (Collin)
“I love you, Collin, and I think—No, I know you’re worth it. Worth taking that risk for… if you’ll let me.”
“Can I say something without you freaking out on me?” (Collin)
“Yes.” (Harper)
“I love you.”
“Say it again.”
“I love you.”
“Are you slow dancing with me in the middle of a club?” (Harper)
“Yes.” (Collin)
“Why?”
“I’m practicing.”
“For what?”
“Our wedding.”
“You’re awfully full of yourself, Hockey Guy.”
“Nah. I’m just sure I’m going to love you forever.”

2.5 — legal pra passar o tempo mas acho que vou esquecer de tudo em uma semana. gostei da escrita da teagan e quero ler mais coisa dela, principalmente a história da ryan e do rhodes
Omg.. the plot was kinda okay - but the writing? Wattpad 2012 vibes. I didn’t feel it at all. I can’t even remember 98% of what happened in the story.
