5 stars because it was a delight, knocked down to 3 because of predictability and I thought the ending was a bit rushed.

the beginning was fun but there was no real substance to the story. I couldn't understand how the characters had fallen in love. but I'm still willing to give other books in this series a try!

Accidentally ending up in my hockey romance era to kick off summer vacation tracks. Live laugh love an interconnected stand-alone series.

Collin Wright is a star player in the NHL, or at least he was until last season. Now his contract is coming up with the Carolina Comets, and unless he can get his head back in the game, he probably won't be staying in North Carolina at the end of the season. He just needs to relax, that's what everyone is telling him, so a dating app it is. But one night, while scrolling the app, he sees the girl that almost hit him with her car. The same girl that gave him a ride home after his car breaks down. The same girl who was able to get him out of his head. Only, she doesn't know he's a famous NHL player and he doesn't know how to tell her that. Plus, he doesn't need a relationship, just a way to relax. Falling for her isn't part of the plan, but that plan might have to change.

This was a great introduction to the series and Collin and Harper were some great characters. I love the text/message exchanges between Harper and Collin throughout the book and I loved the way their relationship developed throughout the story. There were some really comical moments mixed with some deeper/heavier moments that are always so well balanced in Teagan's work.

I appreciated the relatively low angst of this book, and the little easter eggs to other series was a fantastic bonus to the story. I'm really looking forward to continuing this series and I would recommend this one to anyone who enjoys the following.

✔️ Meet Cute
✔️ Hidden Identity
✔️ Sports (Hockey)
✔️ Text Exchanges
✔️ Slow Burn
✔️ Low Angst
✔️ First Person Dual POV
