I started out not liking either of these characters as periphery friends in other books in this series. But their standalone story really changed my mind. The woman seemed more flawed than the man (which I hate), and she even ended up turning things around about 3/4 of the way through. I'm finally a Nico fan!

This is my favorite book so far. It was a wonderful second chance romance with many challenges. She's a doctor. He's a famous comedian. She is afraid to love. He has always loved her. Add in jealous co-workers and a violent stalker and this book was packed with all kinds of awesomeness.

Hello and where can I order my own personal Nico please

I loved basically everything about this book. I loved Nico's attitude. I loved Elizabeth's surliness. I loved that it wasn't an insta-love. I loved that even though Nico is a celebrity, the story didn't revolve around that fact. Elizabeth and Nico were great together, and their backstory is full of baggage, and I just loved it all <3

I took off half a star because there were some grammatical and spelling errors in the book that I purchased. Otherwise, great read and I'm looking forward to continuing on in the series!

This was NOT very good. All the characters are absolutely fucking bonkers. And not in a fun way, like How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, just in a very annoying way, where every time they say or do anything you're just clutching your hair and going who are these insane people? How are they so exaggeratedly mental? How have they managed to make it this far in their lives when they're clearly in such dire need of psychiatric help that they can barely function and have no problem solving ability? Genuinely exhausting to read, was glad when it was over.

There's a truly charming quirkiness to these books and I enjoy the nearly fully imaginary version of Chicago - they manage to create a world in which trauma and an extreme comedic world coexist.
