An absolutely insane read. Which I loved! But wild nonetheless

This was fantastic - a skillful and compelling exploration of sexuality, autonomy, personhood, community, and what it means to be human

Never read anything like this before. So weird but I kinda loved it! Looking forward to reading the rest of the series. I really enjoyed the writing style as well, will be reading more of her works!

I wanted to read this because I love Butler’s work in Parable, but this story just didn’t do much. I kept listening hoping it would get to more, but it was so underwhelming, particularly at the end. Great descriptions, great setup, but poor performance.
