Read this on Webnovel as it was being translated. Still come back to it every once in a while.

Listen I’m not going to pretend this is great literature (nor that it isn’t repetitive and at times boring) and I wouldn’t have read it if not for the main character’s infuriating level of perfection but it was fun lol.

i actually could not stop reading until i finished. esports, competition, motivation, mechanics, game theory
all I can do is pray for a game so /cool/ to come out so I can join in
so long but thoroughly enjoyed the entire story

Extremely fun gaming novel with a compelling cast of characters. It nicely straddles the line between getting too into the weeds with gaming jargon (I'm not a fan of when it's all a focus on stats and grinding into OPness) and straight up becoming a fantasy novel set in a game world. The gaming is still with a keyboard and mouse!

It can get a bit slow, especially later in the book, but skimming until interesting scenes deals with that nicely. I laughed aloud sometimes, read late into the night sometimes when particularly interesting things were happening. Rooted for my faves to appear more often (the cast is pretty huge).
