I was lucky to have a friend introduce me to Darby Hudson's work when he gave me 'Falling Upwards' as a gift. I have been a keen follower of his work since, enjoying his regular posts on Instagram.

Darby's work is aphoristic, playful and philosophical. For any fans of Michael Leunig, Darby is the inheritor of this loving, playful, but cynical commentary on the society that we live in, with the odd sharp jab to make sure you're awake. Some poems will catch you off guard with that sharpness, but sometimes also their poignancy, and you may even shed a tear or two.
