I have generally enjoyed the epilogues better than the actual books in this series, but not here.
It of course centers around Francesca's fertility. Because what else would it. At first I thought it a bit clunky but it might have a good message. Francesca finally finds a sort of peace in her childless state. She's happy and everything will be fine. Of course that is when she gets pregnant. Twice. Maybe this is too much to share in a book review but I found this incredibly triggering. And I hate that expression! It just shoved me right back to every time someone told me I needed to 'just relax' and 'it would happen'. Well guess what. It didn't. Sometimes 'relaxing' doesn't do a thing and I'm tired of books leading their main character to a place where she's finally okay with how things are, only to undo it all anyway. Is there no other possible happy ending? I honestly would have been much happier if she'd raged and cried and then found out she was pregnant. The infertile seems to make the fertile uncomfortable and they say, and in this case write, the most inane things.
