Enjoyable read, but the way the story was told felt to 'made up' in some way, it is more of a feeling than something I can really explain; like the story fits together but not in a good way

Especially the scene where the king gets killed, it felt to easy, against the rules of the story in some way; maybe because Nick is such a wild card in the time line, but that became clear in the scene itself.

. I am curious to the last book of the series and how that will end with the rules of this world

not as exciting as the first one (the first 150 pages were SO SLOW) but the it really pulled together for a compelling end! i can't wait to read the final book in the trilogy - i am firmly team aaron oliver. absolutely crazyyyyy reveals and i can't wait to see joan really take control of her power

Still very anti-Nick. Was very annoyed for the first 60% of the book. Enjoyed Chapter 29 a lot.

I think this book could have been edited down a lot. There is so much repetition that was unnecessary. But the story line is likeable enough
