Light, simple. An incredibly benign read. Didn’t feel too attached to the characters.

This was super cute! I read it as a palate cleanser between fantasy books, and I loved that our lead characters were also fantasy book lovers!

I had to suspend belief a little on their initial connection. While I loved the email portion of this book, I wasn’t feeling the ✨spark.✨ Their chemistry in person was great, but I don’t love the insta-love turned slow burn.

I did really love Lily’s family, and I’m looking forward to her sister Violet’s story!

Overall, I don’t have any major complaints, and I’d definitely recommend it, but for me personally it was missing that ✨it factor✨ to really push it over the edge.

Such a fun and cute story idea. Well developed. Captivating characters. Epilogue is unnecessary—seems more like fan service. I appreciate the mature reaction to the book's conflict. I also appreciate the the dénouement being longer than what is traditionally done; it is warranted and wraps up well. I would definitely read this again. Would live to see a movie of it, too. If done well, it could be one of my favourite romcom films. Definitely a top book.

Loved this book! A really fun take on You've Got Mail. The characters were well fleshed out and felt real, and the chemistry between them was a delight. Loved all the angst and character development. Looking forward to reading The Partner Plot, and anything else this author writes!
