Fast paced, multiple viewpoints but easy to follow, good character growth. Liked it!

One of my Favorite books of NJO it really felt like an X-wing book, and Aaron Allstons style was really nice to read as part of NJO

As usual with the Allston I've read the book is well written and entertaining. Not as good as the x-wing work, but I'm not as satisfied with the Vong line. A bit weak in the relationship area, but otherwise a good read.

This was a very strong addition to the New Jedi Order series. I really enjoyed the story and the characterization. Our heroes are allowed to act like heroes! It felt like a classic Star Wars story and I look forward to continuing this journey.

Average NJO entry, worth the read if you already made it this far

Of all the Star Wars novels, I think I liked Rebel Dream the best. Objectively, some are probably better (although it’s very good, I think the five stars are well earned) but for me I always loved its action and the great character work as well as the sense that things are finally starting to turn in the good guy’s favor after the shattering Star by Star. But I especially loved it because Allston’s fantastic sense of humor, especially with the Rogue Squadron characters he knows so well. “We’ll put that in your biography. General Antilles was so good he couldn’t fail when he tried to.” Highly recommended.
