Kam mit dem Setting nicht zurecht. Nachdem ich dann das review von Katy gelesen habe, war klar, nichts für mich.

This was a difficult read for me. The PTSD flashbacks were jarring and disconcerting not to mention the hate of Neo Nazis. I read for entertainment and to escape our reality. This story did not provide that for me. At least, I finished the story. Yay me. I get that I’m not the target audience for this series and will not be continuing despite Ms Nickless’ talent for storytelling.

This book was so good. It was very well written, with great pacing. It didn't drag at all. The plot kept my attention and I wanted to be reading it anytime I wasn't. I'll be reading the second book soon, for sure.

Great Read

Wasn’t expecting to like this book. Sydney was a great character. The story was compelling and I didn’t even guess the killer. Not reading book 2 now, but may in the future.

4 stars. This was a strong first book for a new to me series. It gets a bit grim at times, but overall I liked it.

I definitely got swept up in this book. I didn’t want to put it down. Hoping there will be more stories to follow this one.
