Loved iris and Declan’s story. Lauren Asher did a great job of writting the POVs because sometimes when I was reading from iris I was really starting to hate Declan. Which was such an amazing and immersive experience. Loved iris and Carl’s friendship and can’t wait until Cal’s book

I LOVED IT.

I could not put this book down—no matter how hard I tried. I was addicted. I was entranced. I was compelled. There is a high chance that I would make this book my sole personality for the next couple of weeks.

In retrospect, I highly doubt I would survive a man like Declan Kane, but to have its perks? A fairytale.

And if Iris wasn’t already married, I’d snatch her up for myself because —DAMN! I love the way she puts him in his place like that.

And Cal? If we were in a Wattpad story, he would literally be the comment section fr.

Loved the first book in the series, but this one did not scratch that itch for me. Read this if you’re looking for a grumpy/sunshine & diverse relationship. I loved Iris, and there were some really great parts to the book, but it definitely just fell flat.

Touches on emotional abusive relationships, but doesn’t have much of a character development in the end.

Would have loved it if Declan didn’t emotionally abuse everyone the entire book & then say “oh I want to be a better person” like where was the proof. He ended up just buying her things to apologize for his abuse, when in reality that is how abusive relationships continue!
I would have just preferred to see some extra development like Rowan in the first book. I usually prefer a duel POV, but every time it was Declan’s POV I just felt bored - like there was no development for his behavior, he knew it was wrong yet continued.

I really loved this book, and Declan and Iris. Although some moments saw Declan severely under appreciating Iris, the reader realises how much he cares about her and depends on her. Iris is such a strong female main character and she constantly puts Declan in his place (as she should), she stayed true to her morals and her plans, not letting Declan dictate her future or what she wants to do with her career; quite the opposite in fact as he is made to adhere to her plans, which all readers love to see. I loved the scene where Rowan teaches Declan about grovelling and then he does it flawlessly, admittedly it could have lasted longer but the way in which he gets her to forgive him is so heartfelt and emotional that I honestly shed a tear. I love Lauren Asher men.
