solid book but I think it was the high school aspect that made me not love it - like the dialogue and was sweet but probably would not reread. also the whole divorce aspect overlap I wasn’t vibing with but I also can’t relate and I think it was due to just reading wildfire before where they bonded over similar issues too.

Lynn Painter books are usually good but I didn’t really like Charlie that much and I don’t think we got to see enough from his perspective to justify the character growth. I still read the book fully but it wasn’t fully intriguing me at the end, I don’t regret reading it but I won’t miss it now that it’s done.
