This book finished the trilogy off with beautiful character development, gut-wrenching plot twists, and stunning displays of magic. It is a work of art. This book left nothing left to be desired, for me. It was riotously enjoyable. The moment I was finished with it I went out and got my hands on the first book in Schwab’s next series. I’m not ready to be finished with her astoundingly magical worlds just yet.

I finally finished it. I took my time and savored this book. Schwab has a way with words and she entwines them into pure magic.
A lot of fantasy books I read never let anyone go. Characters set off on adventures, get mortally wounded, and miraculously recover. This isn’t that book. Not in the slightest, and it’s almost a breath of fresh air.

Schwab brings this trilogy to a rip roaring satisfying conclusion. Kell, Lila and Alucard acquit themselves admirably. I'm not the greatest reader of fantasy, but I'll read more Schwab. Well done!
