3.5 stars. The book overall was really good and I was engaged the whole time. The cons are the plot twist wasn’t really that much of a twist and the ending was kind of mediocre for all the buildup throughout the story

My first Colleen Hoover novel. I did not know anything about the author going in. This was just a joy to read. Very subtle thriller, but enjoyable.

This is the type of story that messes with your head. Who’s good and who’s bad? I picked up a thriller after a long time and I could not put it down. This is my first Colleen Hoover book and I am SO impressed!

It’s twisted, creepy, and so intense. This story was phenomenal. It makes me wonder what it must be like inside a writer’s mind.

What a unique plot. I have never read or heard of a story similar to this one.

I loved how this was staged. A ghost writer who thinks the original writer is faking her paralysis. A manuscript that makes the original writer sound like a psychopath. A rocky past. I can’t decide if the original author is just really good at writing or a psychopath. I feel like she’s a psychopath, but I don’t know. I wish the ending was slower. I don’t like how Jeremy just kills Verity on spot. It was so quick. I get that the letter is supposed to 180 a-ha moment but I wish the turn around time between the two was slower or written differently.

What is the truth?

I really was enjoying this book. Then bam the end…. The end like what?!?! It was so good! My favourite Colleen Hoover book ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I really want to read the bonus chapter but I read it before the newer edition had it. I don’t want to buy another book just for one after the fact bonus chapter.
