Loved it so much and get so excited to the second book really an astonishing start to a series. Dex and Lanie is perfect loved how the author discussed all their struggles and suffering and how she explained their insecurities and broken hearts the seen and unseen scars . Tate a wonderful child so smart and awesome kid loved him so much it was hilarious how described his pain and struggle really perfect

I think that the ending was quite rushed and that it differs from the rest of the book a bit but I really liked it. Unsure about moving onto the sequel, though.
So many things to say about this book, and all of them are great! The small town romance had everything to offer including meddling families and nosey neighbors. There was so much steam that had me sweating like a sinner in church. There was sex, there was action and there was trauma, so much TRAUMA! GIVE ME MOOOORRREEEE, which I know Avery will, there are SO many side characters that deserve a happily ever after!!
This is book 1 in the Broken Hearts series. They are interconnected stand alones, and this one didn’t disappoint at all!!
This was such a well written story about broken people & broken families healing each other. It was so beautiful & I loved Lanie & Tate’s instant connections. She helped pull him out of such a deep sadness that no child should ever feel. Her strength was top tier. Dex’s commitment to making her his was amazing.
Lanie’s best friend, Julia, was an amazing character as was all of Dex’s friends. They were there for both of them through everything & never wavered. I can’t wait to dive into Julia & Trevors story
