[2.5 Stars] Maybe the author's writing style didn't vibe with me, but I thought this book was lazy. The writing was subpar and there was almost no character development.  It all felt overdone but somehow was still underwhelming.

This was a great book. Sweet story, lovable characters, hilarious texts, and the perfect amount of sexy.

Holy emotions...

Wow was this book a ROLLERCOASTER.
It had my stomach in my throat multiple times ... but man was it BEAUTIFUL! I loved this story so much. Thank you for writing such a touching story about two broken people.

For a debut novel, this story is truly amazing. By page 26 I knew that I would be reading every book Avery Maxwell has written. I couldn't put it down. The writing style is great, the characters are perfect for the story and the side characters are amazing, especially knowing they have their own books coming!! The group texts are awesome, Tate is the best little boy on earth, and Dexter is just perfect in so many ways!!!!! 5 stars isn't enough!

Okay this was a surprise!!

4.5 ⭐️

This book has taken me by surprise… it has had such heartfelt moments- mostly with Tate that have made me tear up or actually laugh out loud! This book is a little cliche in the tropes that it has but I loved how it was centred around recovery and healing.

The end twist was very obvious from the beginning but I still think that I’m going to pick up the second book and read it because the author has managed to create such vivid characters and tell an amazing story!
