I absolutely loved this book. It was wildly romantic and engaging. Dexter and Lanie’s story was like a whirlwind romcom with suspense, angst, laughter and love. This is an amazing start to a series. I truly can’t wait to see what is next for this series. If I could give it more stars I definitely would.
I just finished reading this and bought the next in the series before leaving a review. Luckily I see the third book just released, so I'll be busy for the next couple of days. I loved the main characters, Lanie and Dex, and all of the supporting characters as well. Normally I don't like it when there are a large number of names to remember, but the author made each character seem real so it wasn't a struggle to remember each one. Although it felt like the story did drag on occasionally, I really enjoyed it from start to finish.
Loved the characters. It pulled me out of a book slump, and I couldn’t put it down. Will definitely read more from this author.
Small town + single dad + broken heroine + great side characters (who it seems will get their own books)

5 ⭐️ He falls first and he falls hard *swoon* I felt it was a little unrealistic how fast it happened but it’s a book Maria so calm down. I adored it from start to end. The way Lanie just swooped into Dex’s life and made it so much better was amazing. All of Dex’s friends are so supportive, the whole story was just incredible. The epilogue too
DNF at 47%. The writing was just not good and I'm truly shocked at all the rave reviews for this book.
Funny, cute, and a bit sad in spots but overall FUN. Loved it!
In the top 5 books I’ve read in 2024 so far ❤️
