Il y a tellement de choses qui vont pas dans ce livre. Déjà pourquoi tout tourne autour de Lannie? On respire plus c’est la reine mère, la déesse c’est quoi? Elle prend tellement de place dans le livre qu’à force j’ai plus eu d’empathie pour elle. J’en avais marre de la plaindre. She makes everything about her. Par exemple les gosses de Dexter on dirait c’est les siens et Dexter c’est un shitty dad. C’est comme si elle est la solution à tout, carrément Tate pense plus à elle que son père fin y’a un soucis non? Y’avait même pas un peu de moments que de Tate et Dexter alors que bah c’est son père.
Fin ça allait trop vite de base c’est la nanny et en deux chapitres c’est devenu indirectement la nouvelle maman qui sait tout etc fin je trouve ça un peu bizarre.
Puis sans parler de tout ce qu’il lui est arrivé entre Zachary, la mère biologique, le senator. Fin ça y est, il lui arrive toujours des trucs.
Ensuite, je comprends vrmt pas son soucis avec le délais du contract. Fin si du coup je pense que c’est l’autrice qui veut en faire un plot mais bon l’idée que Lannie n’est tjrs pas certaine de rester et qu’elle garde en tête les 1 an du contrat fin ridicule. Jsp depuis le début du livre l’autrice fait en sorte que la relation entre lannie et dexter mais aussi avec les gosses aille vite etc mais l’autrice montre encore qu’elle est tjrs incertaine d’y rester. Je trouve ça ridicule comme plot surtout que Dexter dit les clairement les termes qu’il veut pas qu’elle parte et pareil pour Tate. Fin bref un peu ridicule.
Mais également, le moment où les jumelles l’ont appelé « mommy ». Franchement enough is enough, je comprends qu’elle a des moms issues mais encore une fois everything is about her, encore une fois il faut la plaindre.
Mais surtout les messages entre Julia et Dexter vraiment trop ridicule. Ils ont 30 ans ou ils ont 12 ans? Vous allez me dire que Dexter a besoin qu’on lui dise quoi faire à chaque fois? Julia qui lui dit « oui Lannie te parlera demain matin, elle rentre pour thanksgiving » etc etc. Julia c’est le pigeon voyageur. Mais c’est tellement ridicule??? Vraiment je roule des yeux.

This book was okay. The beginning was good and then it dropped off. It was just so cliche and over dramatic. I felt like the couple got together as in the guy started pursuing her very quickly. The book also just seem to be too long there was lots of boring filler. Also I knew the girl would get pregnant because of course she would. There was just so many things that were so dramatic that it made me dislike the book. Also the plot is overall weird and tried to be different but failed. I hated how the last chapter was a plug for the next book but I’m not surprised. Overall it was an average book like I liked the beginning and the end was okay. So it wasn’t good but want bad. It was average but wouldn’t recommend. 3/5

The premise of this book held a lot of promise, and I was really interested to see where it was going. Unfortunately, it was just way too melodramatic and over the top for me. It was like watching one of those late night dramas that stir up crap for the sake of the drama and nothing is rooted in true human interactions.
Both MC's are unrealistic and the dialogue far to on point. People just don't talk that open and honestly all the time. There is a lot of suspension of disbelief in romance, this one just asked for too much of it for me to enjoy.

Wow! So many feels! This book deserves a shout out. Mildly spicy. Both MC had rough lives. He falls first and spends the entire book doing grand gestures every single day to convince her she's worthy of love and to stay. Lots of twists and turns and a big crazy perfect found family

Book Boyfriend material ♥️ This book just had me up reading all night. The things he did for was amazing. I don't know how many times I smiled reading this book. And Tate was an angel. Dexter's friend group was hilarious and the family he had standing by his side at all times as well as Laine and her family and the whole town that was rooting for her.
