I might have liked it more reading it in a different context.

"A forest is growing inside of me."

This is a short graphic novel about a young man who undergoes a shocking transformation after being lost in the woods. I enjoyed the art and the metaphor, but the bullying incident was a little stereotypical and the twist was abrupt and confusing.

i really enjoyed the artwork and the humor -- and body horror is of course always a good time. the storytelling feels a bit rushed, though, and the symbolic imagery a bit too straightforward.

I feel like this book could be analyzed in an English class as a "meaningful" allegory. (In my mind I feel like it's relating it to
a man who becomes so enraged by people that he begins to kill them. Like his sickness is just him building up the courage to murder his bullies...
) The storytelling was rushed and forced rather than flowing like most graphic novels/comics.
