This book put me in a reading slump - I was confused and the plot was slow and uninteresting. I felt most of the time I was trying to force myself to read it. After Part 4 (150 pages in) the plot finally picked up and I did enjoy it but I think this book was overhyped for what it was.

Beautiful and unique book I will re-read every summer.

I actually liked it quite a bit more than I expected to. 

By the way this review won't be long because I finished it 2 minutes ago and I can't even-

I knew it had a plot twist but thats not what I was expecting... at all.

everyone talks about this book and the twist and how good the twist is. honestly, up until the twist, i really did not like this book, so i thought the twist must be overhyped. it was a great twist, completely unexpected.
that said, i didn’t love the writing and i found it confusing. i hated how the author reminded the reader at every second how the sinclairs are white, rich and perfect. 
the characters are not at all likable. i hate candace. and her family. fuck them all.
