Going with my gut on this 5 star. I may change my mind later but this was crazy. I truly did not see the plot twist coming but after I read it, so many little comments or details made sense and that is the way to win my heart. I also think I may have hated this book (in a good way).

I had been meaning to read this book since I was a teenager and finally got around to it in my twenties. Beautifully written and somewhat complex at times, perhaps that’s why I didn’t get to it until now. Somewhat predictable I would say but still enjoyed the read.

Eighty-seven chapters of whining and complaining about parents kissing ass for their trust funds.  And why not have the dogs die in a fire the main character set… riveting stuff.

Too close to the “it was all just a dream” trope for me. It didn’t feel like the mystery it’s meant to be.

It’s one of the best emotional thrillers that I have read, themes of grief and family are the main focus of this book. It is a must-read for every human being out there.
