She's A former foster child turned social worker. He's the guy she believes betrayed her in a horrible and very public way.

Enter her former guardian, two children in need of temporary care, and their mother...also a man Lauren isn't aware impacts her life.

I recommend this book.

I enjoyed this second-chance romance. The two main characters loved each other in college and a misunderstanding leads to Lauren running and changing her life without an explanation. The author did an amazing job with her character development and the pacing throughout the book.

Be True with Me (Be with Me Series) by CA Miconi. This is such a good small town, second chance, holiday, interracial romance. Its the story of Lauren who was so hurt and embarrassed by her college boyfriend that she decided to run and change her identity so that no one could find her. Lauren was a foster care child so she reminded me of a scared rabbit. She had trust issues, self confidence issues and especially love issues. Lauren finds peace helping kids that have no one so she is finally happy. Jack never meant to hurt Lauren but when someone borrowed his phone and shared some pictures for his eyes only things were over with him and Lauren. He looked for her and tried to fix it but she was long gone. After 1o long years they meet up again to help come deserving kids have a Christmas like no other they have to work together. Will those old feelings come back up or will they realize they were correct in splitting up. Read this sweet, short second chance romance to find out!

I was so invested in Lauren & Jake’s story from the beginning.
Lauren is really working tot fill a gap she has noticed in the system since she was a child. She is more than just a social worker but she is truly wanting to better the community she’s in.
Jake is trying to protect the community in his own way. He wants to protect people and hold the bad guys responsible.
Lauren & Jake have a past and the mystery of when Jake will be able to tell Lauren the truth and not push her away keeps you interested beyond the romance.

This was a good 4 star read. If you like second chance romance, you will enjoy this quick read. I really liked both characters. These two have a history that includes a huge misunderstanding. Years later they are brought back together to work on the same case. The more time they spend together old feelings start to come back. Can these two move forward from the past? Overall, I enjoyed this book. We get romance, love and so much more. The author does a great job of pulling you in with her writing. I look forward to reading more from her. 1-click and get started today.

This is the first book that I have read of C.A Miconi and it certainly won’t be my last.  It is always great to add a new Author to my list ❤️

Be True to Me is the 3rd novel in the “Be with me” series.  I read this novel as a stand alone novel and although I will go back and read the first 2 books in the series it did not contain any spoilers to those books and was a lovely sweet romance novel about the reconnection of college sweetheart Lauren and Jake.  A chance meeting via their work roles and a pair of adorable twins who needed some love and affection over the holiday season whilst their mum recovered in hospital from an act of domestic violence.

I really enjoyed this novel and how it played out and I am sure that you will also - especially if you are a sucker for a happily ever after like I am ❤️

Lauren Turner had a very difficult childhood until a social worker adopted her for good and made her a wonderful professional. Now becoming a good social worker, just like her mom, was all Lauren could think while in college, until she met Jake, who after a horrible action lost her forever, or did he?

Jake Kelly is an official who, after being inspired by a girl he met at college, wanted to dedicate his life to saving children from the government foster program. And one night a very tough case came up and oh boy destiny did as well, he found not only a pair of twins in need along with their mother but also a certain lady from his past.

A romantic second chance story about how not all things seem what they are at first look.

Lauren and Jake accidentally run into each other after years since they'd broken up in college. Lauren is a social worker and Jake works in law enforcement. They're brought together by fate when they're assigned to the same case. CA beautifully developed their love story in this quick, fun read.

Be True with Me is the third book in the Be with Me series by CA Miconi. I have not read anything that I have not liked by CA and this one may be my favourite so far.

It is a wonderful small town second chance interracial romance with lots of feels, a bit of drama, a little humour, and sugar and spice. It was easy to lose myself in the story, that I was engrossed in from beginning to end. I read the story in one sitting for some much needed me time.

I loved the characters who captured my heart and loved that we met with old friends from previous books. Make sure to read the other books first as the characters cross over but it could be read as a standalone.

Lauren knows what it is like to have nothing, and she vows she will do everything to help and make this Christmas the best Christmas for these two in need can have. But can 10 years erase the heartache that feels so fresh when you come face to face with the one who betrayed you? Can she open her heart to let trust in?

Jake is dedicated to making dreams come true this Christmas, but can 10 years erase the guilt and pain when coming face to face to the one who thought you betrayed them? Can he help her overcome her fears?

I look forward to what comes next.

This was an emotional story that hit me right in the feels. Two people with some issues to deal with. They had a betrayal happen in college that caused some major hurt. A second chance at love happened with a chance to help a family in need. I was into this book right from the start. Another story that hits a little close to home. It felt very realistic and vulnerable. It felt emotional and hearttorn, heartwarming at the same time. It's a story that you can totally dig right into because you can feel that things will work out . A beautiful story that is worth reading.
