the one thing i don’t like about this book, is that even at the end, there is no indication of how exactly a a lady like Me can hunt fortunes
The audiobook was phenomenal! Look, you’re not reading this book for the plot. It’s super predictable and you will know the end game by the 3rd chapter. But it is so charming and just what I needed to tide me over before the next season of Bridgerton. Listen
An updated Pride and Prejudice, this book has some familiar tropes throughout the whole thing. I enjoyed the story and the banter back and forth between the characters. There seemed to be a lack of originality - if you know the classic Pride and Prejudice, you could easily find yourself reading that story instead. I recommend this book to anyone who needs a modern-worded version of Jane Austen’s classic.
