Nicely plotted and the Regency ambience and dialogue is generally accomplished well, except for the heroine exclaiming “Gosh!” (once) and the hero asserting that some event won’t “faze” him. It could have been much worse, and the story was, as stated, effective.

3.5 This is very Bridgerton like. At first I was not sure I was going to like this book. The premise started off rough. A young woman, who's mother and father died left her in charge of her four sisters and mountains of debt. She goes to London to try and find a rich husband. I didn't like Kitty at first. Found her pretentious and annoying. But as the book progressed I ended up loving it. Was a really great book
