Spring is here and so is my mood for a lovely light romance
Ah how I loved this! I flew through this book and was honestly not even remotely bored for a second. It was oh so enjoyable and I absolutely loved the setting, the scheming, the romance, and the banter. I can’t wait for the next book in this series, which I think may be from one of the other sisters’ POV.

Too much time spent fleshing out too many secondary characters and not enough time spent on the main couple.
This book was pretty delightful overall! I received this ARC for my birthday, and am just catching up on some reading over my summer. The quote on the front of my copy compares it to the Bridgerton series, but I honestly enjoyed it more than the first book of that.
My only real complaint about this book is that it seemed fairly short, and I felt as though we were all of a sudden to believe two characters were in love. It seemed like on one page they hated one another, and on the next they were in love the whole time.
The other comment I had was that the book was pretty predictable. I don't think this is a bad thing at all because when I pick up a historical romance novel, I know what I am looking for and what I want out of the book. If you are looking for something miraculous and groundbreaking though, this is probably not the book for you.
