I love regency romances. This was one of those books that had a great twist in the typical regency dramas. I loved the main character and her desperation for survival and her need to protect her family. I also loved the way the romance was intertwined with so many complex elements. I laughed out loud at many moments but I actually understood her desperation and I loved this so much.....

I stayed up all night to devour this book even though I only meant to start it right before I went to sleep. I love a good enemies-to-lovers, bickering and taunting couple, and this book was no exception. I admit that the side characters were severely lacking in depth and honestly a good-deal of intelligence, but I was willing to overlook it because of how much I was just enjoying the story.
Witty & adorable. Traditional Regency romance that didn’t take itself too seriously.
I couldn’t love the characters which is why I rated it lower. It was a clean romance. I wouldn’t recommend it as a favorite though.
