i don’t typically read books in this genre and i certainly didn’t expect to like this series as much as i did but wow i really really loved it. cried for probably the last two hours i was reading this book, mainly because of how much i felt for each character that everything they experienced or said just reduced me to tears. will be thinking about these for longer than i care to admit

When I say this book broke me, it truly broke me. With Aelin captured by her “aunt” Maeve I was stressssing over what would happen to her. Maeve tried to snuff out the fire in her and I cried for her. Rowan was so devastated trying to find her and get back to his mate. When Aelin screamed “you do not yield” and it sent that ripple though the mating bond I cried. Tbh I wasn’t expecting to like Lorcan after alllll of his shit in EoS but the way his story progressed had me falling for him. Especially with the quote “so Lorcan did”. Seeing what each person went through to finally come together again brought me to tears and laughter. And of course just that little peek of daddy Rhys had me swooning for him again. I could not love this book and series more than I already do. If I could give it a 10/10 rating I would.

So now what? How do you move on from spending hundred of hours with your new favorite (fictional) people?

5 novellas.
7 books.
5,600 pages.

This was incredible. That’s it. That’s the review.
