Another end to a series. This book was SO long. Not in a bad way necessarily, but it was hard to be patient for the final battle at the very end. There were perhaps too many characters/pov by the end but I still liked the story. I did predict almost everyone who would die. The one I didn’t see coming moved me enough to give the extra half star for a 4.5 ⭐️ rating.
This series was great at world building. Was it mostly predictable? Very much so. Do almost all of the significant characters magically survive every single dramatic event? Absolutely. But I eat it up every time because I just love SJM’s writing style. She has such a talent of making you feel as though you are there. Manon and her thirteen absolutely STOLE MY HEART. I wasn’t expecting them to be my favorite part of this series finale, but they were! As a general series I preferred TOG to ACOTAR, but the romance in ACOTAR is unmatched!

No, it did not need to be this long. No, the series did not need 8 books. No, I will not recommend this series to anyone. To me it was bland and boring… The ending of it all was too lovey dovey. After all that, you’re going to tell me no one died at the end? Or, sorry, Gavriel died but I couldn’t care less to be honest with you. The whole father/son-trope was really cringe anyways.

Series: Throne of Glass
First Book: Throne of Glass
This is the last book of a 7 book series. (7 of 7)
Completed Series
Original series (not a spin off/not same world as previous series but same universe as ACOTAR and Crescent City and I believe it'll all tie together at the end of ACOTAR)
Spice: 3/5 (Open Door based on romance.io)
NOT Available on Kindle Unlimited
First Release Date: 2012
So I think I went into Throne of Glass expecting something different. But that doesn't mean it isn't great. A friend of mine called it "life changing". So the most likely scenario is that I'm missing something. I would consider this series young adult and the romance is a smaller percentage than I'm used to in romantasy. It still exists but there's much more plot. Very little spice but also just less tension and relationship plot. The characters are all amazing and I look back on them all fondly. I still love this series!
My rating: 4/5 (Unpopular opinion. I know. Don't kill me!)
I would recommend this book/series!
Specifically for:
- young adult romantasy readers
- readers that want to be "part of the action". Everyone talks about this series and you'll be left out if you don't read it.

Spesielt gråtete når the thirteen fløy ut .
